This antique teak gate was sourced in Rajasthan and features a distinctive hand-forged lattice design—an architectural detail traditionally used for ventilation, light filtration, and security in courtyard homes throughout northern India. The teak frame has been worn smooth over time, while the metal latticework shows the irregularities, patina, and hammer marks of true hand craftsmanship.

The soft weathered blue finish highlights decades of use, with areas of exposed teak adding warmth and texture. Hinges, latches, and small hardware details remain intact, each one shaped individually rather than mass-produced, lending the piece an authentic, time-earned character.

The gate was cleaned without erasing its history, this gate works beautifully as a functional architectural element, room divider, or as a sculptural wall piece that brings depth and texture into a space.
