Sizing guide

This restored teak cabinet originated in Western India, where pieces like this were traditionally used for kitchen and household storage. Built from solid teak and hand-finished with carved floral and geometric motifs, the cabinet carries the warmth and quiet utility of everyday vernacular Indian furniture.

The upper glass-front doors provide open display space for ceramics, books, or collected objects, while the lower paneled doors conceal generous storage below. Time-softened edges, subtle surface wear, and tonal variation throughout the teak preserve the cabinet’s authentic character and reflect decades of use and repair rather than factory uniformity.

Its proportions and restrained detailing make it especially versatile — equally at home as a dining room cupboard, kitchen pantry, linen cabinet, or layered living room storage piece. The combination of practical construction and hand-carved craftsmanship gives the cabinet a grounded presence that feels collected rather than manufactured.

A functional antique with warmth, texture, and the understated elegance of reclaimed teak.
