Reclaimed Teak Display Cabinet — Northwestern India

This tall teak display cabinet began its life as a kitchen cupboard in northwestern India, where it was used for storing everyday household items. We’ve had it restored it by removing the original finish to reveal the raw, natural beauty of the teak and added the glass to create the display that you see here.

The cabinet features glass-paneled doors that open to wide, functional shelving, making it ideal for displaying pottery, books, textiles, or curated collections. Its simple, balanced lines and hand-built construction give it an understated presence that works seamlessly in both modern and traditional spaces.

Though the surface has been refreshed, the subtle marks, softened edges, and small irregularities in the wood remain—authentic reminders of the cabinet’s working past. It’s a piece with history, but one that now feels clean, light, and timeless.
