Himalayan Temple Incense
Bass And Bennett Trading Company
Handcrafted in the Foothills of the Himalayas
This incense is made by a small collective of artisans in Nepal who continue a craft that has been passed down through families for generations. Each batch is prepared using traditional methods once used exclusively in temples and monasteries.
The artisans gather aromatic herbs, woods, and resins from the surrounding Himalayan forests — including juniper, sal tree resin, rhododendron flowers, and other plants used for centuries in Nepali spiritual rituals. These botanicals are ground by hand, blended in small wooden bowls, and rolled into incense pieces without the use of synthetic binders, fillers, or artificial fragrances.
Every step is done with intention.
Every batch is unique to the season, the altitude, and the hands that shaped it.
For many in Nepal, this incense is part of daily life — burned at dawn to welcome the day, offered in temples as a gesture of gratitude, or used in homes to bring calm and clarity. When you light it, the warm, earthy aroma carries the spirit of these traditions into your own space.
By choosing this incense, you help support the livelihood of the artisans who preserve this cultural craft and keep these ancient practices alive.
