Sizing guide

Originating from Northwestern India, this teak cabinet began its life as a utilitarian kitchen storage piece before being carefully repaired and refurbished for contemporary use. Constructed from solid teak, the cabinet retains the quiet irregularities and softened wear that come from decades of daily use—subtle shifts in tone, old joinery marks, surface variation, and hand-finished character that newer production pieces rarely capture authentically.

The upper glazed openings suggest it may once have displayed commonly used kitchen wares, spices, or vessels, while the enclosed lower storage provided practical utility in a working household. Over time, the cabinet has been stabilized and thoughtfully restored, preserving its original proportions and patina while making it functional for modern interiors.

Its restrained silhouette and warm teak tones allow it to move comfortably across a wide range of spaces:

  • as a kitchen pantry cabinet,
  • dining room storage piece,
  • bar cabinet,
  • linen cabinet,
  • or collected living room display cabinet.

The lightly weathered surface and simple paneled construction give the piece an understated architectural quality—less ornate than many Indian cabinets, but deeply tactile and grounded.

A versatile reclaimed teak cabinet that brings warmth, history, and lived-in texture to both contemporary and traditional interiors.
