Butter Churners

Vintage butter churners.  These churners were used in rural villages in India to turn milk into butter.  These are the churns themselves that would fit inside a vessel holding the milk.  The "butter churner candles" were used as collars to stabilize the churns, a rope would be wrapped around the neck and used to spin the churn by hand.
