Teak Console Table
Bass And Bennett Trading Company
Crafted from old teak salvaged from homes and traditional structures in northwestern India, this sideboard carries decades of lived history in its grain. Every board has been reclaimed, re-worked, and given new life—preserving the warmth, durability, and quiet character that only old teak develops.
The front panels feature hand-carved floral and sunburst motifs, a style of carving historically found in rural Rajasthan and Gujarat. These carvings were originally done using simple hand tools by village artisans, and you’ll still see their fingerprints in the subtle asymmetry, soft edges, and beautifully imperfect details. The hints of worn color in the central frieze are remnants of old pigments from its previous life.
Because it’s made from reclaimed teak, no two pieces are ever the same—each one holds its own textures, knots, weathering, and history.
